The Creative Spark: Where Art Meets Business

Recently our Year 7 and 8 Visual Arts students were treated to an inspiring incursion with renowned Australian artist, Mulga. Known for his vibrant, quirky style and entrepreneurial spirit, Mulga shared insights into his creative process and how he has successfully blended art with business. Students had the opportunity to create their own Mulga-inspired artworks using Posca pens, experimenting with bold colours, patterns, and imaginative characters. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that not only sparked creativity but also encouraged students to think about how passion and enterprise can go hand in hand in the world of visual arts.

“This incursion was a powerful example for our students of how passion and creativity can lead to both personal fulfilment and financial success. In a rapidly changing world shaped by AI, original creative thinking is more valuable than ever across all industries.” Mrs Villareal, Creative Arts Teacher
