IndigiGrow

Last Friday, Year 6 enjoyed an incursion with IndigiGrow, an organisation dedicated to sharing knowledge about native plants and their cultural significance. Students had the opportunity to smell, taste, and experience a range of native bush foods chosen by the team for our School garden. During the presentation, Year 6 learnt about the edible and medicinal uses of each plant. Gavin and Raymond from IndigiGrow then supported students in planting their own native bush food garden. This hands-on learning opportunity gave students an insight into Aboriginal knowledge systems in designing the garden which will become a living resource for our School community to enjoy. Year 6 is looking forward to maintaining the garden and watching it grow!
