Our Father’s Day celebration at our Infants School was a joyful, fun, loud and uplifting experience. It was a blessing to spend the morning giving thanks for our fathers, grandfathers, uncles and father figures. There was much laughter and joy as the children and their guests raced on scooter boards, competed in egg and spoon races, went on a scavenger hunt, and enjoyed the delicious treats on offer. It was very special to share in the children’s joy as they proudly presented their fathers with personalised gifts they had made in class.
Mr Honor reminded us of God’s heart for people by sharing John 3:16. He spoke of the power our dads have to bless their families and affect the way children view the world. It was a wonderful celebration of fatherhood, love and family, and a reminder of the unconditional love, care and provision of our heavenly Father. We thank all our guests for making our Father’s Day event so memorable for our students.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV)
