On Monday 7 April, our Infants children, their families and our staff, gathered for a special Easter celebration. The triumph and hope of the Easter story rang out across the Sans Souci Campus through the uplifting words of the song, ‘This is Amazing Grace’. The children were thrilled to welcome their families to School and lead them through a range of activities.
The fun began with an Easter crown making activity, recognising that ‘Jesus is King’, and continued with decorating Easter bags to carry Easter egg treats. The Animal Petting Zoo provided a wonderful opportunity for the children and their guests to befriend some friendly goats, hens, lambs and chickens. The challenging Kiddiepillar obstacle course led to the delicious gelato eating station and a guessing competition with proceeds donated to The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal.
The Class Teachers read the Easter Story to the children who were excited to hear that the story ended joyfully with the news that Jesus, the light of the world, is alive. A community barbecue was the perfect ending to a special day.
