Tennis Star Dreams Big

Jesline Lie (Year 6) has been playing tennis for more than half of her young life. Her dedication and persistence have reaped rewards at the recent NSWPSSA Primary Tennis Championship.

Jesline won all her singles and doubles matches. As a member of the Combined Independent Schools Team, her team won gold overall along with the Don Moon Trophy. Her team also won the Girls competition and with it the John Ferguson Cup.

These great results have seen Jesline move up the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) to a Level 4.

This ranking system is used across all levels of competitive play by Tennis Australia and they assign each player a number that provides a real and accurate measurement of skill level. A player’s UTR Rating is a number between 1.00 and 16.50.

Like most young players, Jesline has big dreams of one day playing at Wimbledon.

Congratulations Jesline on your amazing achievement.
