Colonial Life

Year 4 students recently went on an excursion to the historic Hyde Park Barracks. The students were guided through the barracks by tour guides who provided them with an in-depth understanding of the history and significance of the building.

The students enjoyed the exhibits and artifacts on display, and they learned about the harsh living conditions that the convicts endured during their time at the barracks. They also had the opportunity to dress up in period costumes and participate in interactive activities, which helped them to further immerse themselves in the history of the site.

Overall, the excursion was a great success, as the students gained a newfound appreciation for the history of their city and the role that the barracks played in shaping it.
