Mathematics reveals its secrets only to those who approach it with pure love, for its own beauty.

Year 4 students have been learning about measurements. As part of their studies, they have been exploring the concept of water displacement to calculate the volume of irregular shapes.
A certain amount of water is displaced when an object is submerged in water. Displacement is where the volume or the mass of fluid displaced by a submerged object is equal to the volume or the mass of the submerged body.
The students had a wonderful afternoon of learning and putting this theory into practice.
