Smooth Swim Secures Win

On Monday 13 March, 36 SGCS secondary students travelled to Prairiewood leisure Centre to compete in the Christian Schools Sports Association South Metropolitan Zone Swimming Carnival.  Our students represented themselves, our school and God well, displaying excellent sportsmanship, character and behaviour throughout the day.

Many students swam PBs throughout the day and we expect to take a large team to the CSSA State Carnival on 28 March, as a lot of competitors finished in the top three for their age and event.  All the students who competed on the day should be congratulated for their efforts and conduct on the day.  Special congratulations should go to Eveleigh Cassell who was the 13 Years Girls Age Champion and Keira Neilson who was the 16 Years Girls Age Champion.

Along with our competitors, students from our Year 10 Physical Activity and Sports Studies classes attended, to assist in running the event.  A big thank to all of the students who helped and to Mr Condon (SGCS Sports Coordinator) for organising and running an extremely smooth Zone Carnival.
