Kick Turn to a New Sport

The Year 9 PASS (Elective) students have been enjoying their skateboarding program as part of the Exploring Physical Activity unit. The program is presented by Totem Skateboarding who use skateboarding as a vehicle to develop self-esteem, personal identity, and self-image.

Mr Troy Dixon, PDHPE Subject Coordinator, said,

Skateboarding requires a high level of coordination, and stamina. It builds determination and resilience as it takes many fails to execute a move correctly. The students had a great time, learning new skills and progressing their skateboarding abilities.

A big thank you to Coach Ben from Totem Skateboarding for his encouragement of our students.
