CIS State Cross Country Carnival

On Thursday 8 June, 7 students from SGCS travelled out to Sydney International Equestrian Centre for the NSW Combined Independent Schools (CIS) State Cross Country Carnival. Our students progressed through to this level by finishing in the top 10 positions of their respective age group races at the recent NSW Christian Schools Sports Association State Cross Country Carnival.

All of our runners participated to the best of their ability throughout the day with a number of students running really solid times, against some of the best runners in our State. Our Cross Country team included:
Year 7 – Charles Cox
Year 9 – Nara Bradley and Amber Bedford
Year 10 – Zahra O’Shea, Naomi Ho and Keira Neilson
Year 12 – Savina Biris

Congratulations to all of our runners on their outstanding efforts on the day. Representing our school at the NSW CSSA State Cross Country Carnival is a huge achievement within itself, let alone, to then qualify and represent the NSW CSSA team at the NSW CIS State Cross Country Carnival. This is a massive achievement that we are very proud of. We look forward to seeing how these athletes continue to progress in the coming years.
