Wonderful Wolseley

Year 9 and 10 Visual Arts students enjoyed a visit to the Rosyln Oxley9 Gallery in Woollahra to see the works of artist John Wolseley. The exhibition celebrates the 86 year old artist’s love of the Australian landscape. His work in watercolour, drawing, printmaking and installation is a meditation on the fragility of the Australian ecosystem. He often incorporates in-situ materials like soil, feathers, leaves and bark into his work. After the curator talk and tour, our students walked to Rushcutters Bay Park where, inspired by John Wolseley, they put their learning into practice to create their own works.

Our deepest thanks to Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery for their generosity in hosting our students.
