Students of our Year 8 Targeted Learning Program for Visual Arts put their learning into practise to transform their classroom.
During the Term, the students explored the street art movement. As part of their studies, they created a series of stencil works for the internal doors to revitalise their art room.
The works feature artists Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol.
Mrs Villareal, SGCS Art Teacher said:
The students were very excited about the project. The opportunity to redesign the décor in their classroom sparked their curiosity and gave them ownership of the art space. I am very proud of how well they worked together to bring about this transformation.
