As part of the Sydney Design Festival, SHAPE 2018 is on at the Powerhouse Museum. Shape 2018 is the annual NESA exhibition featuring a selection of exemplary Major Projects developed by HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students.
The SHAPE 2018 Exhibition features the work of one of our own students, Georgia Clark from Year 12, Class of 2018. Georgia Clark took inspiration from the Regency Era and nature, creating a corset and crinoline cage to form the structure of her dress. Various techniques such as hand embroidery, lace application and macramé were methodically applied to create a sense of a bird’s habitat.
Whilst Georgia’s work speaks for itself, you begin to appreciate her talent and expertise, when considering only thirty-seven projects were selected for SHAPE 2018 from students studying HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students across new South Wales.
Shape 2018 is on at the Powerhouse Museum from 23 February to 5 May 2019.
