Our Hurstville Campus kitchen garden thrived over summer despite the fierce weather, producing rosemary, thyme, coriander, basil spring onion and parsley.
Our Year 7 students have been putting the produce to good use in their mandatory agriculture and food technology lessons.
During their classes they used the fresh herbs to create savoury scones and omelettes. (Considering many of them were first-timers in the kitchen, the height of their scones were very impressive).
Garden projects are part of the new mandatory Technologies syllabus introduced in 2019.
