On Monday 6 June, students from Year 11 Modern History and Year 12 Society and Culture visited the State Library of New South Wales.
Our Modern History students participated in a session with a librarian who explained the resources available in the State Library for students undertaking a historical investigation. Modern History students were able to avail themselves of the primary sources and journals within the State Library.
Society and Culture students explored examples of award-winning Personal Interest Projects (PIPs) to gain an understanding of the scope of the Major Work for this subject. It also provided the students with inspiration for their own work.
The students enjoyed the day, welcoming the opportunity to gain experience in research, and spend time in our State’s biggest and most important reference library.
