Playing with the Best

Mr Rob Archer – Years K-6 Sports Coordinator

In April, Neave N. (Year 6) attended the CIS representative girls hockey trials. I am proud to say that Neave was successful in gaining selection to the CIS team. This is an outstanding achievement.

In late May, Neave travelled to Unanderra to compete in the NSWPSSA Girls Hockey Championships, in which the CIS were invited to enter a team. This competition has a very high standard of play, as it is the best young hockey players from all around the state playing against each other.

Neave had a fantastic time away at Unanderra competing. She played extremely well throughout the Championships. She represented St George Christian School and CIS well with her attitude and sportsmanship.

The CIS team came second in their pool and progressed through to the semi-finals where they came up against some tough opposition. The CIS team had a strong Championship and probably didn’t get the reward they deserved.

We are incredibly proud of Neave and her achievements in CIS hockey this year. We wish her all the best for her future hockey career.
