Outdoor Life Inspires

The Major Work of SGCS student Heath Cauchi, Year 12 Class of 2019, was recently awarded The Friends of Hazelhurst Prize. Heath’s work was selected to feature in the HSC Art Rules Exhibition at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts centre, Gymea. Members of the Friends of Hazelhurst Group selected Heath’s work from 23 local students’ works.

Heath’s artwork, titled “Sunshine on my Shoulders”, is a large-scale multi-textile sculptural work representing the natural environment. Heath credits inspiration from years of camping, describing the work as “a hymn to the edges of our landscape”.

Congratulations Heath on creating an exceptional work of art. We look forward to seeing more of your work in the public domain.
