The Investigating Science course for Year 11 and Year 12 is proving very popular. Recently, Year 11 students undertook a unit of study on scientific models where they were required to investigate a scientific concept and represent it as a visual medium.
Creating models helps students develop knowledge and understanding of a scientific principle in a practical way.
The scientific concepts explored included perpetual motion, movement of sound, emission of light in and by algae, workings of car and jet engines and refractive errors in the human eye. Fascinating stuff!
These captivating models are on display in the Library until Week 8.
