Golf is a relational game. The time spent on the green allows you to foster relationships through conversation and shared experiences. It is known to enhance mental and physical wellbeing through social connection, playing outdoors, and low impact exercise.
After 5 weeks, golf lessons for our Year 10 PASS students are drawing to a close. The students have been learning the finer art of swinging a club at the Barton Park Driving Range under the watchful eye of their teacher, Ms Kathryn Chalker and an instructor from the centre.
Ms Chalker said:
It has been very exciting to see the quick growth and development of students, as most had never played golf before. We have been doing lots of fun, individual challenges to keep them engaged, and I find that a student’s competitive streak always responds o chocolate.
