Do you remember your first school camp? Many of us have very distinct memories of this time.
School camps are often the first time some children are away from home. A camp provides an opportunity for students to develop self-sufficiency skills as well as other important skills in team building, independence, decision making and social interaction.
Our Year 4 students were thrilled to experience a fun filled three-day camp in the Royal National Park. The students flew down the waterslide, built rafts, canoed in the pool, explored the mangroves and beach, learnt about Jesus and ate lots of great food. Mr Scott, Year 4 Teacher reports that one of the student’s favourite activities was getting out and about on the campsite’s boat including visiting the mangroves and sand bar.
What a memorable experience.
