Crash-Test

Year 7 spent a fun filled period studying the motion of objects, by looking at the principles used in physics to analyse collisions.

The students created their own crash-test dummies out of plasticine before placing them onto a toy car and propelling them down a declining slope into the path of another car or wall.

Whilst the activity was undertaken with great enthusiasm, the serious intention behind this activity helped students to understand how the difference of force is calculated and the importance of seatbelt safety.
