Colour Therapy

In the lead up to Easter, our Year 7 Visual Arts students explored the use of colour mixing, shade, tone and marking to produce some delightful art works symbolising new life.

Over a series of lessons, students worked with watercolour, acrylic paints and ceramics exploring cool and warm colours to produce a series of paper bird nests. The nests were topped with brightly coloured ceramic bird eggs.

The egg is an ancient symbol of new life. For Christians the egg is symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

These beautiful artworks are on display in the Library until early Term 2.
