What does it take to become a champion?

Rhema Adelaja has been part of Port Hacking Little Athletics since she was four. Recently, ther hard work and determination bore fruit when she competed at the Little Athletics NSW State Track and Field Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Athletics Centreon 19-20 March 2022.

Rhema put in an amazing effort to win Gold in all of her events. It was a close finish in the Girls U12 100m Sprint, but Rhema just pipped her rival to take Gold. In the Girls U12 200m Sprint, Rhema had a clear win, posting nearly a 2 second improvement on her time in the heats. In an amazing performance, Rhema broke the State record for the Girls U12 – 80m Hurdles (68 cm).
