SGCS Year 12 students, Ain Lustre and Edmund Pfahlert, recently visited the New South Wales Parliament House as part of the Secondary Student Leadership Program, conducted by the NSW Parliamentary Education Branch. Our students joined school leaders from across the State to learn more about NSW politics and the workings of Australia’s oldest Parliament. One of the highlights of the day was meeting the New South Wales Premier, Gladys Berejiklian.
The students had the privilege of attending a luncheon hosted by Mark Coure MP, Member for Oatley and Assistant Speaker, Legislative Assembly.
The Secondary Student Leadership Program is a great opportunity for students to develop their knowledge of constitutional and parliamentary proceedings, as well as interact with their local member.
