Creative learning empowers girls for life

One of the initiatives of Middle School in 2013 is the Creative Co-operative Project, designed to empower girls to determine their own identity in a healthy, positive way rather than allowing themselves to be overly influenced by popular culture. Utilizing fun, interactive and meaningful design projects and activities from the Esteem Designz Program, our teenage girls are able to explore issues of identity, self esteem and respect as well as develop critical analytical skills relating to mass media.

Last week under the guidance of Mrs Honor, our girls spent time creating personal memory pockets, where encouragement cards detailing happy memories are stored. The girls are able to read these cards in times of need and draw encouragement from their own personal stories.
