St George Christian School
is a dynamic learning community encouraging the
development of students' personal character and gifts,
whilst experiencing joy in learning and excellence in teaching
in a supportive K-12 co-educational Christian environment.
Each year more than 75000 secondary school students from around Australia test their geographical knowledge and skills in the Australian Geography Competition. Students are also required to demonstrate their knowledge of global and local geographical issues.
Each year SGCS holds a V-Day fundraising festival. This event is organised by the Beyond Ourselves student team, and focuses on raising awareness and funds for the 10 day annual mission trip to Vanuatu. This year’s festival featured live music from our talented students, food and drink stalls, and a variety of activities and games including the photo booth, the slam dunk competition, computer game tournaments and the ever popular sponge throw. All funds raised at V-Day are used to purchase resources, educational supplies and gifts for distribution during the Vanuatu mission.
